Saint Expedite is a Roman soldier-martyr venerated in the Catholic Church as the patron of urgent causes and swift solutions. According to tradition, when tempted to delay his conversion to Christianity, he crushed a crow beneath his foot as it cried "Cras! Cras!" (Latin for "Tomorrow! Tomorrow!") and declared "Hodie!"
